What it does
Excel to CSV
Works with .xlsx and .xls; pick a sheet if there are several. Dates are written as text like 2026-01-02, not as serial numbers.
CSV to Excel
Every value is kept exactly as it is by default, so 001 and long IDs don’t change. Tick an option to write numbers as numbers when you need to calculate.
Fix garbled characters
Excel shows garbage when you open a CSV? Convert it to “UTF-8 with BOM” or .xlsx. You can also convert between UTF-8, Windows-1252 and other encodings.
Change the delimiter
Switch between commas, semicolons and tabs to suit Excel in your region or another program.

Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read and converted in your browser. Our servers never receive its contents or even its name.
Why are numbers text after converting CSV to Excel?
So nothing is lost: treating 001 as a number drops the leading zeros, and IDs longer than 15 digits lose precision. To add numbers up, tick “Write numbers as numbers”; plain numbers become numbers and everything else stays text.
Are formulas and formatting kept?
No. Values are converted: formulas become their last calculated results, and formatting, merged cells and other sheets are not kept.
Which formats are supported?
Excel (.xlsx, .xls) and CSV only — the same formats as spreadsheet comparison.
